Icarus: Heavenly Bodies, the music of the stars

The Luminos Ensemble, directed by Dr. Margot Rejskind performs my work Icarus as part of their final concert of their season.

"For centuries, the stars have intrigued and astonished humankind, inspiring remarkable poetry and exquisite music. From the rejected lover crying out his anguish to the heavens, to the penitent sinner begging the creator of the stars for mercy, to the story of Icarus who flew too close to the sun, Luminos Ensemble explores music’s thousand-year obsession with the music of the spheres. Featuring the music of Claudio Monteverdi, Michael Praetorius, Robert Schumann, Eric Esenvalds, Kristopher Fulton…and yes, David Bowie."
